Maddie is able to conduct rigorous and quality research in both scientific and policy contexts. She holds a degree in Biomedical Science, majoring in anatomy with minors in human physiology and cell and molecular biotechnology, as well as a master’s in Health Economics. She enjoys drawing on this knowledge to understand, design, and implement efficient solutions for issues affecting health outcomes.
Ultimately, Maddie is passionate about better health and wellbeing for all Australians, enabled through safe and accessible care, capable and supported workforces, and efficient delivery facilitated by technology. She prioritised a health equity lens, having collaborated with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organizations and experienced care delivery in regional and rural GP clinics.

I love hiking and swimming in cold places, and my favourites to date have been Wineglass Bay, Bob’s Cove and a snowing Cradle Mountain (sadly, no swim). I’m also an avid music collector – always taking on suggestions!
